Installation and Upgrade of the Netskope Add-on for Splunk

Installation

Follow these steps to install the Add-on from the bundle:

1. Download the App package.
2. In the UI, go to Apps > Manage Apps.
3. In the top right corner, click Install app from file.
4. Click Choose File and select the App package.
5. Click Upload and follow the prompts.

OR

Directly from the Find More Apps section provided in Splunk Home Dashboard.

Upgrade

Follow these steps to upgrade the Add-on:

1. Before upgrading, disable all the inputs.
2. Take a backup of the $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/TA-NetSkopeAppForSplunk/local directory. (To revert in case of any upgrade failure.)
3. Upgrade TA-NetSkopeAppForSplunk.
4. Download the App package.
5. In the UI, go to Apps > Manage Apps.
6. In the top right corner, click Install app from file.
7. Click Choose File and select the App package.
8. Enable the Upgrade app checkbox.
9. Click Upload and follow the prompts.
10. After the upgrade is done successfully, reenable the existing inputs.
