    About Malware Retention

    On the Malware Retention page (Settings > Threat Protection > Malware Retention), you can create and manage Malware Retention profiles that allow you to define where you can store and securely download files detected as malicious to further investigate or analyze them. You can download the files directly from Azure Blob Storage or from Malware Incidents.

    Configuration

    In the Configuration tab, you can:

    1. Click Edit to enable malware retention for your organization and choose a profile. You can only choose one profile.

    2. Create a malware retention profile.

    3. View a list of configured malware retention profiles. For each profile, you can see the following information:

      • Name: The name of the profile.

      • Last Edit: The last time the profile was edited and by who.

    4. Click The More icon. to choose one of the following options:

      • Edit: Edit the profile information.

      • Delete: Delete the profile.

    Instances

    In the Instances tab, you can:

    1. Set up an application instance. Netskope only supports Azure Blob Storage at this time.

    2. Filter the configured instance list by application.

    3. View a list of configured instances. For each instance, you can see the following information:

      • Instance Name: The name of the instance.

      • Last Edited: The last time the instance was edited and by who.

    4. Set up a new instance for the filtered application. Netskope only supports Azure Blob Storage at this time.

    5. Click The More icon. to choose one of the following options:

      • Regrant: Regrant Netskope access to Azure Blob Storage.

      • Edit: Edit the instance information.

      • Delete: Delete the instance.

    6. View up to 100 instances per page.

    7. View multiple pages of the table.
