You can define Browser Protection policies (copy, paste, print, screenshot/ screen sharing, watermarking) and enforce them in Netskope Enterprise Browser for both SaaS and private applications.
Path: Policies → Enterprise Browser Protection
- Select the Users or User groups and the destination to which you want to apply the policy. You can create fine grain policies leveraging Predefined and Custom categories, as well as any cloud application or Cloud App suite (e.g. Create a policy to block, copy, and print in Google Drive).
Admins can use a combination of the following Actions as additional controls to prevent data leakage of sensitive data, to protect internal web apps, and support compliance with data protection regulations.
Actions include:
Copy – allow or block copying from an application, category, website, or private app
Paste – allow or block pasting from an application, category, website, or private app
Print – allow or block printing from an application, category, website, or private app
Screenshot/Screen Sharing – allow or block capturing content presented in Enterprise Browser corresponding to sensitive applications, categories, website (any destination), or private app
Watermark – show or hide a watermark which acts as a deterrent, a dissuasive control to prevent users from taking pictures of sensitive data. Apply watermarking to specific website categories, cloud applications, “Any Web” traffic and private applications.

Note: In the unlikely event of an error while processing Enterprise Browser Protection Policies, the system applies the fallback actions defined by the admin under “Settings”.
Fallback options include:
- Copy – block or allow
- Paste – block or allow
- Print – block or allow
- Screenshot/Screen Sharing – block or allow
- Watermark – show or hide
Path: Policies → Enterprise Browser Protection → “Settings”

The image below shows the watermark applied on a website. Admins can apply watermarking to specific website categories, cloud applications, application instances, and “Any Web” traffic and private applications.
