Service Description
Netskope Advanced Analytics is a service that provides users with a data-driven analytics platform to monitor cloud activity, identify risk trends, and implement better security policies through customizable dashboards and reports.
Definitions
A “User” is each individual that (a) is authorized by the customer to use the customer’s systems (including the customer’s network, cloud services and Internet connections), and (b) whose use of such systems is monitored by, or accessed by use of, the Services.
“GB” is the number of gigabytes of data retained by the Service
Unit of measure
- User – A User entitlement is for a single individual and cannot be shared between multiple individuals. Each User counts as one Subscription Unit.
- GB – Each GB counts as one Subscription Unit.
Entitlement
Subscription Period
As set forth in a customer’s order.
Licensing Model / Base Allocation
- User-Based Subscription: Each Subscription Unit entitles the Customer to one (1) User with at least 7 days of data retention; or
- Volume Based: Each Subscription Unit entitles the Customer to one gigabyte of data included per 12 months.
Pooling
- User Based: User based entitlement is assigned at the account level and may be shared across Customer’s tenants.
- Volume Based: Volume based entitlement is assigned at the tenant level and cannot be shared across Customer’s other tenants. Customers operating multiple tenants must license a separate Subscription for each tenant.
Rollover
- User Based: Data retention windows are fixed per the purchased package. Unused data retention periods do not roll over to subsequent Subscription Periods.
- Volume Based: Data storage volume is fixed per the purchased package. Unused data storage volume does not roll over to subsequent Subscription Periods.
Add-On packages
Customers may license incremental Subscription Units to increase their entitlements for Users or GBs (via “add-on” packages) at any time during the Subscription Period, by placing an additional Order.
Usage Monitoring
Netskope will monitor the Customer’s actual usage and notify Customer when the number of Users or GBs exceeds the licensed quantity.
Customers can view their usage, including data retention consumption, within their tenants.
Measurement & Enforcement:
Measurement Methodology
Netskope measures usage for Users based on the number of unique Users observed over a rolling 90-day period, and for GB, the cumulative volume of GBs retained over a 12 month period.
Overage Notification
Netskope will notify the Customer via in-tenant indicators or the account team in case of any excess usage.
Service Limitations
- User Based: Data older than the licensed retention period will not be accessible to users.
- Volume Based: Netskope may not retain data generated over the licensed retention GB in the Service.
Overage Remediation
If the Customer’s actual usage exceeds the licensed quantity, the Customer must purchase additional User licenses sufficient to cover all active Users, and/or additional storage to overconsumption of data.
Customer Records: The Customer may be required to provide system data, audit logs, or written confirmation of the number of Users upon reasonable request by Netskope.
Exclusions
The Service will only provide analytical information for Products that the customer has licensed.
