Expanding the Disk Capacity of an AI Gateway Appliance

To prepare for our upcoming feature set and ensure optimal performance, we have increased the AI Gateway Appliance disk capacity from 200GB to 300GB. This upgrade provides the necessary overhead for enhanced data processing and storage requirements.

GMS Capacity Modeling: Transitioning to UTC-Based Monthly Calculations

With the release of version 1.4, Netskope has standardized how API Call capacity usage is calculated and tracked. To ensure global consistency and simplified reporting, the appliance now utilizes a UTC-based calendar month cycle.

Key Changes:

Monthly Resets: Usage resets at the end of each month (00:00 UTC); unused capacity does not carry over.
Fixed Monthly Limits: Capacity remains constant regardless of month length (28–31 days).
Non-Prorated Entitlement: Users receive their full capacity allocation immediately, regardless of the license start date within the month.
Automated Migration: Upon upgrading, existing usage data will be migrated and recalculated to align with this new logic.

Optimized Streaming Performance for AI Gateway

The AI Gateway now supports an optimized streaming experience to significantly reduce latency. When content inspection is not required, the Gateway will stream the response directly to the client as it is generated, rather than buffering the entire payload before transmission. This update ensures a faster, more responsive experience by delivering data in real-time.

Bedrock Schema Support for AI Gateway

The AI Gateway now includes comprehensive support for the Bedrock schema and the /invoke* endpoint. This update streamlines model integration through the following logic:

Automated Inference: The gateway automatically infers OpenAI or Claude schemas based on the provided model ID.
Manual Schema Specification: For models where the schema cannot be automatically inferred (for example, Gemma, Moonshot, DeepSeek).
The x-ns-aig-schema header is now supported to manually specify OpenAI or Claude compatibility.
