Using API Data Protection involves first configuring the API connection for your Slack for Enterprise app, and then creating API Data Protection policies that scan for policy violations. Lastly, use the API Data Protection dashboard to view analytics about your Slack for Enterprise app usage.
Slack introduced a new feature “Canvas”. API Data Protection for Slack Enterprise can scan for DLP through direct messages, 1:n messages, channels, threads, and replies within a Slack Canvas. However, API Data Protection cannot scan attachments in Slack Canvas. If you wish to scan attachments in Slack Canvas, consider setting up Slack Enterprise on Next Generation API Data Protection.
