API Rate Limits on Next Generation API Data Protection

This article talks about the API rate limits SaaS apps impose while onboarding a new app on the Next Generation API Data Protection platform.

Once a customer onboards a new SaaS app on the Next Generation API Data Protection platform, Netskope starts provisioning (including exposure calculation like file/folder permissions) the SaaS app for data/content using APIs to generate the inventory data. This process makes a significant amount of API calls. While this happens, customers may experience a delay in ongoing scanning (policy hits) as SaaS vendors apply API rate limits on the number of API calls Netskope can make.
