Change the Default Subnet

Change the Default Subnet

The IP subnet 172.17.0.0/16 is reserved for appliance’s internal bridge network. If you use this subnet in your enterprise network and have devices using IPs in this subnet that need connectivity to the appliance, then you should assign a different subnet for the appliance’s bridge network. The appliance bridge network can be changed using the following command in the CLI’s configuration mode,

set system bridge-network <IP subnet>
save

When specifying the new subnet, use the format <Network Address>/<Netmask>. For example, 192.168.1.0/0, 172.18.78.0/255.255.255.0.

You can run show system bridge-network in the CLI’s configuration mode to see the subnet configured for the bridge network.
