This section of the API Data Protection Policy page specifies the channels that trigger a policy violation. The Channels section is only for the Slack for Team and Slack for Enterprise apps. With Slack for Enterprise, you also have the option to select direct messaging channels and the teams to scan.
- Select the channels for which you want to scan content. If you selected Slack for Enterprise on the Instance page, proceed to the next step. If you choose Slack for Team, choose public and/or private and click Next.
- This step is only for Slack for Enterprise. In addition to public and private channels, you can choose direct messaging instead. You can also select the workspace to scan. Selecting a Subset of Workspace allows you to specify the workspace to include. When finished, click Next.
