    Configure the Virtual Appliance

    Using the Virtual Appliance involves configuring the interface, system, and DNS server.

    To configure the Virtual Appliance:

    1. Power up the Virtual Appliance and open the console view.
    2. Log into the Virtual Appliance using the credentials nsadmin/nsappliance.

      Note

      You can change your password by using the command, auth change-password nsadmin.

    3. When you first log in, you will be dropped into the system shell. Your prompt should change to nsappliance>.
    4. At the nsappliance prompt, enter configure to go to configuration mode.

    Follow the instructions to configure the interfaces and then the system and certificates.
