Creating a Malware Retention Profile

The Malware Retention page allows you to set up an application instance to store and retrieve malicious files detected by the Threat Protection policy. You create a malware retention profile and specify where you want to retain copies of files that were found malicious. You can only assign one profile.

To create a malware retention profile:

  1. Go to Settings > Threat Protection > Malware Retention.

  2. In the Configuration tab, click New Profile.

  3. In the New Malware Retention Profile window:

    • Profile Name: Enter a name for the profile.

    • App: Netskope only supports Azure Blob Storage at this time.

    • Instance: Choose the configured Azure Blob Storage instance where you want to store malicious files.

    • Storage Account: Enter the storage account for Azure Blob Storage.

    • Container: Enter the container for Azure Blob Storage.

    • File ZIP Password: The password is infected to prevent users from inadvertently opening infected files on their computers.
