Service Description
Netskope DataSec Command Center (DCC) unifies the data-security signal generated by the customer’s Netskope products into a single control plane providing a unified data inventory and risk posture, prioritized and correlated risks, and guided remediation and policy recommendations across the customer’s data estate.
Definitions and Unit of Measure
A User is each individual that (a) is authorized by the customer to use the customer’s systems (including the customer’s network, cloud services and Internet connections), and (b) whose use of such systems is monitored by, or accessed by use of, the Services.
An Event means a discrete unit of activity, such as a logged transaction, request, record, scan, incident, or alert generated or captured by Netskope.
Units of Measure
- A User entitlement is for a single individual and cannot be shared between multiple individuals. Event entitlements may be shared across Users as described below.
- Each Event counts as a single activity that is used to generate the DCC Views. A view can consist of one or multiple Events. Events are licensed as part of User Subscriptions or in packs of fixed volumes identified in the applicable SKU description.
Entitlement
Subscription Period: As set forth in a customer’s Order.
Licensing Models
- User-Based Subscription: Each Subscription Unit entitles the customer to one (1) User with a fixed allocation of Events per calendar month as defined in the applicable SKU description.
- Event-Based Subscription: A Subscription for a pack of Events provides access to a fixed volume of Events per calendar month as defined in the applicable SKU description. This Subscription may be purchased to increase total Event volume per account.
Pooling: User and Event entitlements are assigned at the account level and may be shared across multiple of the customer’s tenants.
Non-Roll Over: Any unused Event allocations at the end of the calendar month do not roll over to the subsequent period; the Event allocation resets at the start of each calendar month.
Add-on Packages: Customers may purchase incremental Subscription Units to increase their entitlements for Users or Events (via “add-on” packages) at any time during the Subscription Period, by placing an additional Order.
Usage Monitoring
Netskope will monitor the customer’s actual usage and notify customer when the number of Users or Events exceeds the licensed quantity.
Measurement and Enforcement
Measurement Methodology: Netskope measures usage for Users based on the number of unique Users observed over a rolling 90-day period, and for Events, the cumulative volume of Events in a calendar month.
Service Limitations: If Events exceed the purchased number of Events during a month, then the DCC Dashboards and Risks will not be updated through the end of the month. At the beginning of the next month, updating of the Dashboards and Risks resumes for the purchased number of Events. If other services usage exceeds the purchased entitlement, Netskope may limit functionality until the customer acquires additional licenses or until the entitlement resets at the start of the next calendar month.
Overage Remediation: For Users only, if the customer’s number of Users exceeds the purchased User entitlement, the customer must, within 30 days of notification:
- License additional User packages sufficient to cover the excess Users for the remainder of the Subscription Period.
- Cease usage of the services by Users in excess of purchased User quantities.
For Events, if a customer reaches its Event entitlement, the customer may purchase additional quantities for the remainder of the Subscription Period to increase entitlement and resume the updating of the Dashboards and Risks.
Customer Records: The customer may be required to provide written information or confirmation of the number of Users and Events upon reasonable request by Netskope.
