    Destination Profile

Destination profiles allow you to define and manage custom sets of network targets (e.g., IP addresses, domains, and URLs) to include in policy scans. When creating a destination profile, you can add the destinations individually in the UI, upload a file containing all destinations, or use the Destination REST APIs.

    Destination Profile Limits

The default limits for destination profiles are as follows:

    • You can create up to 1,000 destination profiles in a tenant.
    • A destination profile can have up to 100,000 destinations. Comments are unlimited. However, the maximum size for a destination profile (including comments) is 10 MB.
    • A total of up to 300,000 destinations (excluding comments) is supported in a tenant. To increase this limit, a license is required.

    Configuring Destination Profiles

    To create a destination profile:

    1. Go to Policies > Destination.
    2. Click New Destination Profile. The New Destination Profile window appears.
    3. Enter a name for the destination profile.
    4. (Optional) Enter a description for the destination profile.
    5. Select Exact or RegEx for the Match Type. If you select Exact as the format, specify if the matches to paths and queries are Case Insensitive or Case Sensitive. This configuration is not applicable to domains as matches to domains are always case-insensitive.
    6. Under Definition, complete one of the following actions:
      • Manually enter the destinations, separated by new lines.
      • Upload the file with the list of all destinations.
    7. You can enter IP addresses, fully qualified domain names (FQDN), partially qualified domain names (PQDN), URLs (with IPs or domains), CIDR, and IP ranges to the list of destinations. IP-based entries are also evaluated against resolved domains. Optionally, you can include ports, paths, and queries to all of these destination types. However, using path and query parameters is only supported for decrypted web traffic. To learn more, see Adding Network Targets to Destination Profiles.

    8. Click Save.

    Destinations Rest APIs

The following Netskope REST API are available for destination profiles. These Destinations API allow you to manage your destination profiles.

More information about this REST API is available in Swagger. In the UI, navigate to Settings > Tools > REST API v2 and click API Documentation to access the Swagger API documentation. To learn more about REST APIs, see REST API v2 Overview.
