    Digital Experience Management

Digital Experience Management (DEM) provides insight into the performance of applications that are managed through the Netskope cloud. You can monitor the traffic speeds from your Netskope tenant and identify latency issues. Using real user traffic monitoring and analysis, you can improve user experience.

    DEM enables you to:

    • Monitor all the traffic for a tenant near real-time.
    • Gain greater visibility into the health and status of the Netskope platform.
    • Proactively monitor the user experience for SaaS, web, and private applications.

    Prerequisites

The customer is responsible for ensuring they have the required Netskope Client implemented to meet the planned activation date for DEM. The Netskope Client versions listed below are required for DEM subscriptions:

    • Windows Users: Must have Netskope Client Version 118 or later.
    • Macintosh Users: Requires Netskope Client Version 118 or later.
Contact your sales representative to enable DEM on your tenant.

DEM Professional – Required Network Flows

The following table provides you with information on the required network flows for DEM Professional:

    ProtocolPortIP/Host
    GSLBTCP (HTTPS)443gateway.gslb.goskope.com
    Configuration ServiceTCP (HTTPS)443dem-config.goskope.com
    Data collection ServiceTCP (HTTPS)443events.goskope.com
    Network Path MappingICMP(Win)
    UDP(Mac)
    ICMP Type 8 and 11
    UDP 33434
    All Netskope IP Subnet Ranges
By default .goskope.com domains should not flow through the NSClient DTLS tunnel, however, customers with explicit steering configurations that may force .goskope.com domains through the tunnel will encounter DEM data collection issues. Additionally, customers with cloud firewall enabled on their tenant will need to add an explicit steering bypass to exclude the network path mapping traffic outlined above from being steered via the Netskope client.
Digital Experience Management (DEM) shares its acronym with the broader industry term Digital Experience Monitoring. For more information, see What is Digital Experience Monitoring?
