Service Overview
Netskope Enterprise Browser delivers centralized browser security, policy enforcement, and traffic steering for Users accessing web and cloud applications through a managed browser environment.
Definitions and Units of Measure
An ‘Active User’ is defined as each individual that (a) is authorized by the customer to use the customer’s systems (including the customer’s network, cloud services and Internet connections), and (b) whose use of such systems is monitored by, or accessed by use of, the Services and is in Active Status in the Netskope UI.
Unit of Measure
Active User: Each Active User counts as one Subscription Unit and cannot be shared between multiple users at the same time.
Entitlement
- Subscription Period: As set forth in a Customer’s Order. Must be coterminous with Customer’s base Inline or NPA Subscription.
Licensing Model
- User-Based: Each Subscription Unit entitles the customer to one (1) Active User.
Pooling
- User entitlement is assigned at the account level and may be shared across multiple of the Customer’s tenants.
Add-On Packages
- Customers may license incremental Subscription Units to increase their entitlements for Active Users (via ‘add-on’ packages) at any time during the Subscription Period, by placing an additional Order.
Usage Monitoring
Netskope will monitor the Customer’s actual usage and notify the Customer when the number of Active Users exceeds the licensed quantity. Customers may monitor their Active User consumption directly within the Netskope UI.
Measurement & Enforcement
Measurement Methodology
Netskope measures User usage based on the number of Active Users on any particular day in the Subscription Period.
Overage Notification
Netskope will notify the Customer via in-tenant indicators or the account team in case of any excess usage.
Service Limitations
Netskope reserves the right to restrict functionality if usage exceeds entitlement.
Overage Remediation
If the Customer’s actual usage exceeds the purchased entitlement, the Customer must, promptly:
(a) License additional add-on packages sufficient to cover the excess Active Users volume; or
(b) Cease usage for usage exceeding any of the licensed entitlement.
Customer Records
The Customer may be required to provide system directory data, directory sync logs, or direct written confirmation of the number of Active Users upon reasonable request by Netskope during a license review.
