Netskope Enterprise Browser is now generally available on iOS and iPadOS

This native, Chromium-based browser brings Netskope’s secure managed browsing to mobile—steering traffic through Netskope New Edge so users get a smooth mobile experience with consistent security policies across devices.

What’s included

Secure browsing for Web & SaaS: Access web and SaaS destinations with traffic steered via New Edge for consistent policy enforcement.
Private Access (NPA) support: Securely access private apps from iOS/iPadOS using Enterprise Browser.
Core security controls: Admin controls for copy, paste, and print to help reduce data leakage on mobile.
MDM support: Supports enterprise deployment and management via Mobile Device Management (MDM).

Considerations

Mandatory certificate install (required): iOS users must manually install and trust the local proxy certificate for Enterprise Browser to function correctly; the browser provides on-screen instructions until this is completed.
iOS share menu behaviour: Standard iOS sharing options (for example, opening in another browser app) may still be visible.
Availability: Not available in Compliance stacks.

Mobile iOS and iPadOS – Support for Private Apps (NPA)

Netskope Private Access (NPA) for Enterprise Browser is now generally available on iOS and iPadOS

Building on the Enterprise Browser + NPA integration introduced for desktop, Enterprise Browser on iOS and iPadOS can now securely access web private applications using the same Zero Trust access model and centralized policy controls—extending the experience to mobile users without changing how admins configure access.

What’s included

Web private app access from iOS/iPadOS Enterprise Browser: Users can access private HTTP/HTTPS web apps through NPA directly from Enterprise Browser on mobile, consistent with the desktop integration experience.
Consistent policy enforcement: Existing NPA access policies and bypass behavior apply when users access private web apps via Enterprise Browser on iOS/iPadOS, helping keep controls consistent across platforms.
Seamless user authentication: Authentication is handled transparently to reduce repeated sign-ins and keep access smooth when moving between private web apps.

Considerations

Enterprise Browser on iOS/iPadOS supports web private applications (HTTP/HTTPS). Access to SSH and RDP private applications on iOS/iPadOS is not supported.

Device Posture Check and Classification on Unmanaged Devices for Desktop

Netskope Enterprise Browser support for Device Posture Checking and Device Classification for Desktop is now generally available, enabling administrators to assign customer-defined Device Classification labels to unmanaged (BYOD) and contractor devices—without requiring the Netskope Client to be installed. These labels can then be used to drive zero-trust access and browser controls based on device risk.

What’s new

Customer-defined Device Classification labels for Enterprise Browser: Create classification rules and labels based on posture signals collected by Enterprise Browser (Windows and macOS).
Use classifications in policy enforcement:
- Real-time Protection (RTP) policies for Enterprise Browser traffic: Apply access controls based on customer-defined Device Classification labels.
- Enterprise Browser Protection Policies: Apply browser controls based on the device’s risk classification

Key posture signals supported (examples)

OS Version: Minimum required operating system levels (Windows & macOS).
Anti-Virus (AV) & Firewall (FW): Verification that local security software is present and active.
Processes & Files: Detection of specified running processes or the existence of specific files (requires full path).
Registry & Certificates: Advanced checks for registry keys or specific local certificates.
AD Domain: Verification of Active Directory domain membership.

Considerations:

Managed/Unmanaged device classification is not yet supported as a condition for RTP policies (Access Method = EB) or Enterprise Browser Protection Policies in this scope—only customer-defined Device Classification labels are supported.
RTP scope limitation: Device Classification is supported in RTP for Web and SaaS destinations only; it is not supported for RTP for Private Segments.
OPSWAT Compliance is not currently supported for Enterprise Browser and will be evaluated as false if configured in a Device Classification rule for EB.
Policy usage visibility: The “policies attached to Device Classification” list does not include RTP policies where Access Method = Enterprise Browser, or Enterprise Browser Protection Policies, even if those policies are using the label.
