Inventory

The Inventory dashboard provides a summary of all your public cloud resources. To view the dashboard, go to Cloud Infrastructure > Inventory in the  Netskope UI.  The resources are categorized by,

  • Compute

  • VPC

  • Storage - The total number of AWS S3 Buckets, Azure Blob Containers, and GCP Storage Buckets.

  • Databases

  • Security Groups

  • Users

  • Roles

You can view detailed information on various resource items by clicking the Inventory dropdown.

There is an Add Filter button on every page that helps you customize your view. Click Add Filter and select an option from the list. The following filter options are available on the Inventory dashboard.

  • Account Name

  • Region

  • Resource Name

  • Resource Category

  • Tags

You can export the table on every page as a CSV file by clicking Export.

Accounts

The Accounts widget displays the total number of IaaS accounts. You can use filters to customize the widget to view accounts categorized by cloud provider. 

Click Accounts to view detailed information on the accounts in the Accounts page.

You can choose which columns are shown by clicking the gear icon and enabling specific columns.

Tip

Click the value displayed in the column to view details about the information displayed in the category.

The following are the options.

  • General 

    • Cloud Provider: The cloud service provider. Netskope Public Cloud Security provides security for AWS, Azure, and GCP.

    • # Region: The number of geographic regions this account is available in.

    • Creation Date: The account creation date.

  • Account

    • Status: The status of the IaaS account. 

    • # Compute: The number of compute resources this account uses.

    • # Database: The number of databases this account uses.

    • # Role: The user role assigned to this user account.

    • # Security Group: The security group associated with the account.

    • # Storage: The number of storage resources this account uses.

    • # User: The number of users assigned to this account.

    • # VPC: The number of VPCs in this account.

  • Alerts

    • # Alerts: The total number of alerts related to compliance rule violations. The highest severity level is displayed along with the number of alerts.

Click Add Filter to customize your view. The following filter options are available on the Accounts page.

  • Cloud Provider

  • Region

  • Resource Name

  • Resource Category

  • Tags

Regions

The Regions page displays all the regions and availability zones of your IaaS resources. To view this page, got to Cloud Infrastructure > Inventory and select Regions from the Inventory dropdown.

  • General

Resource Categories

The Resource Categories section of the Inventory dashboard displays all your IaaS inventory under various resource categories. 

Each category widget provides the total number of IaaS resources under that category along with the number of alerts from compliance violations. You can click on the value under Alerts to view the Compliance page.

Click on a resource category to view the page with detailed information about the resource. You can use the Add Filter button to customize your view. The following filtering options are available on each resource page.

  • Cloud Provider

  • Region

  • Resource Name

  • Resource Category

  • Tags

You can view the details about resources under the following resource categories.

  • Compute:  The Compute page displays detailed information about all the compute resources in your cloud environment. To view this page, on the Inventory dashboard click Compute under Resource Categories. 

  • VPC: The VPC page displays detailed information about all the VPC resources in your cloud environment. To view this page, on the Inventory dashboard click VPC under Resource Categories.

  • Storage: The Storage page displays detailed information about all the storage resources in your cloud environment. To view this page, on the Inventory dashboard click Storage under Resource Categories.

  • Databases: The Databases page displays detailed information about all the database resources in your cloud environment. To view this page, on the Inventory dashboard click Databases under Resource Categories.

  • Security Groups: The Security Groups page displays detailed information about all the security group resources in your cloud environment. To view this page, on the Inventory dashboard click Security Groups under Resource Categories.

  • Users: The Users page displays detailed information about all the users in your cloud environment. To view this page, on the Inventory dashboard click Users under Resource Categories.

  • Role: The Role page displays detailed information about all the roles in your cloud environment. To view this page, on the Inventory dashboard click Roles under Resource Categories.

You can choose which columns are shown by clicking the gear icon and enabling specific columns.

You can view the details about each resource by clicking View.png. The Resource Details panel on the right displays information such as, Type, Cloud Provider, Account Name, Region, Availability Zone, and Status. The Metadata section contains additional information about the resource gathered from the cloud provider.
