Select Scan Options
A DLP rule can scan the metadata attached to a file in addition to the contents for a file.
To set scan options:
- On the Content page, select whether to scan just metadata, just content or both on the dropdown list.
- If the file being scanned contains rows or records, like a spreadsheet, select the Record Based Scan checkbox to have all the records or cells within the document scanned for the data identifiers in the DLP rule.
- When finished, click Next.
