Reverse Proxy For Egnyte

Prerequisites

Before configuring the Netskope Reverse Proxy, ensure that a working Okta Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with the Egnyte application is already set up.

Configuring Netskope SAML Reverse Proxy

Creating a SAML Application in Netskope

1. Log in to your Netskope tenant.

2. Navigate to Settings > Security Cloud Platform > Reverse Proxy > SAML.

3. Create a new SAML application for the Egnyte app using the following values:

   • ACS URL: Use the ACS URL from the Egnyte application.

   • IdP SSO URL: Enter the third-party IdP SSO URL (e.g., Okta SSO URL).

   • IdP Certificate: Upload the certificate from the third-party IdP (e.g., Okta certificate).

     

4. Save the configuration.

5. Click on Netskope Settings to retrieve the following details:

   • Organization Hash (Orghash)

   • SAML Proxy SSO URL

   • SAML Proxy ACS URL

   • Netskope SAML Proxy Certificate

     

Configuring Okta IdP

In the Okta application that is configured for Egnyte:

• Replace the Single Sign-On URL with the Netskope SAML Proxy ACS URL

• Save the configuration.

  

Configuring Egnyte Application

1. In the Egnyte admin portal, go to SSO Settings and replace the following values

   • Identity Provider Login URL with Netskope SAML Proxy SSO URL.

   • Entity ID with Orghash from Netskope.

   • Certificate with the Netskope SAML Proxy Certificate.

     

2. Save the configuration.

Testing the Integration

1. Open a browser and initiate an Egnyte login.
2. Authentication should be redirected through the Netskope SAML Proxy, ensuring that traffic is routed through the reverse proxy.
3. Confirm successful authentication and access to Egnyte.

Troubleshooting

• Ensure that the Okta SSO integration with Egnyte is correctly configured before enabling the Netskope proxy.
• Verify that the Netskope SAML Proxy ACS URL is correctly set in Okta.
• Check that the correct certificate is used for each configuration step.
• If authentication fails, inspect the Netskope logs for errors.
