December - 2025	Incorrect mount in installer for podman: When installing the streaming client container for podman, an incorrect mount option is used. The mount option used is :Z which makes mount private to the container. Impact: Both streaming client container and watcher share the same mount. The container which gets to the mount last is able to use it denying write permission to other containers. January - 2026	CEF Header is mapped to the wrong field: For CEF when customize is enabled, the CEF header in the data sent to syslog is mapped to the wrong field. January - 2026	DNS issue for gRPC connection proxy: For grpc the streaming client was trying to resolve the DNS locally before sending to proxy. If the DNS lookup for the gRPC endpoint is not available the grpc will fail. The issue is fixed by not trying to resolve grpc DNS in the streaming client and passing the hostname to the proxy without DNS resolution. January - 2026	Mitigation of Security Vulnerabilites in Streaming Client and Watcher images: Streaming client and watcher images were impacted due to security vulnerabilities. Critical vulnerability CVE-2024-45337 and CVE-2024-45337 were reported. The security vulnerability is fixed by upgrading the base image for streaming client and watcher. go version and docker-cli was also upgraded. January - 2026	Removal of watcher for podman and use timer: For podman, the installer created a rootless systemd service. When watcher tries to download the latest image and restart the streamingclient container, in some cases it results in a race condition between podman and systemd to start the streamingclient. This results in frequent restarts of the streamingclient container. Instead of using the nswatcher, installer now creates a systemd service to upgrade the streaming client container. Systemd timer is also created by the installer to run the service based on the schedule added during installation.	Installer version I2025.12.1 and I2025.12.2	Installer I.2026.1.1
February -2026	Fixed an issue where Streaming Client sometimes goes into a deadlock state for syslog errors: When streaming client encounters syslog errors, it might create a race condition resulting in Streaming Client transitioning to a deadlock state and not processing any data or restarting. March -2026	Critical and High Vulnerabilities detected within Go Library of nsstreaming client: CVE-2026-24061 is also reported related to telnetd. telentd is not used by the streamingclient container. CVE-2025-68121, CVE-2025-61726, CVE-2025-61728 and CVE-2025-61730 was reported in the golang package used by the streaming client and watcher. Upgraded the go version in streaming client and removed telnetd in streaming client. The watcher component has go library vulnerability due to use docker-cli. The docker-cli has not released the fix for go library so the watcher component is not fixed yet. The fix for the watcher component will be released once a new version of docker-cli is available.
