At this point, Netskope Enterprise Browser is up and running. Users can browse to any web page, cloud app, or browser-based enterprise browser private apps. Your Real-time Protection Policies configured previously for “Enterprise Browser” access method will apply, for example:
- If a policy is created to block “News and Media” and browse to a web site in the “News and Media” category, e.g. cnn.com. You will be notified that the traffic is blocked according to the policy.
- If you created a DLP policy to prevent upload of docs with sensitive information to google cloud, e.g. credit card information. The Enterprise Browser will block the upload and you will be notified that the upload is blocked.
- A Google Cloud presentation trying to copy / print. You will be notified that copying / printing is blocked according to the policy.
- Accessing a browser-based enterprise browser private app such as an internal HR or time sheet application and attempting to download or upload sensitive employee data. If a corresponding DLP or access control policy is configured, the Enterprise Browser will block the activity and notify the user that it is blocked according to policy.
Enhanced User Notifications in Enterprise Browser
Enterprise Browser (EB) supports all inline policy user notifications, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for all users.
EB integrates the revamped Netskope Chrome Extension to ensure all inline user notifications are displayed correctly (whether they are client-based or browser-based). This allows users to see notifications for policy violations and complete workflows, such as user justification, without being unexpectedly blocked.
This feature provides a more transparent and intuitive browsing experience, ensures consistent security posture, and simplifies management by eliminating the need for separate notifications for different access methods.
