Why do I see MCP Servers in AI Inventory even though Endpoint AI Discovery is not enabled?

AI Command Center detects MCP Servers from multiple data sources, independent of whether Endpoint AI Discovery is enabled.

When Endpoint AI Discovery is not enabled, Netskope detects MCP Servers through two sources: app events and transaction log events. Both sources categorize the application as MCP Server. When Endpoint AI Discovery is enabled, Netskope adds a third detection source.

This detection behavior applies to all MCP Servers, not to a specific integration.

To view MCP Server details:

1. Login to your tenant and navigate to the AI Command Center.
2. Go to AI Command Center > Inventory > Assets > MCP Servers.
3. Select an MCP Server.
4. See the footprint details inside the panel.

This panel lists the endpoint devices associated with the MCP Server, along with the number of tools discovered on each device and its last-seen timestamp.
