クロスフィルタリング機能を使うことで、ダッシュボードの閲覧者は、ダッシュボードのデータとより簡単かつ直感的にやり取りし、ある指標が別の指標にどのように影響するかを理解しやすくなります。クロスフィルタリングを使用すると、ダッシュボードのタイル内のデータポイントをクリックすると、すべてのダッシュボードタイルが自動的にその値でフィルタリングされます。
複数のクロスフィルターを一度に作成でき、クロスフィルターは 標準のダッシュボードフィルターと組み合わせて使用できます。
ダッシュボードでのクロスフィルタリングの有効化
- ダッシュボードへのアクセス権限（アクセス管理、編集）が付与されていることを確認してください。つまり、レポートが必ず個人フォルダに保存されていることを確認してください。
- ダッシュボードの3点メニューからEdit dashboard選択して、ダッシュボードの編集モードに入ります。
- ダッシュボード上部の青いツールバーにあるFiltersクリックし、 Cross-filteringスイッチを有効にしてください。
- ダッシュボードにサポートされていない視覚化タイプが含まれている場合、ポップアップウィンドウが表示され、ダッシュボードにはクロスフィルタリングを開始できないタイルが含まれていることが示されます。続行するには「OK」をクリックしてください。
- ダッシュボードのツールバーにある「保存」をクリックしてください。
ダッシュボード上でクロスフィルターを作成する
インスタンスとダッシュボードでクロスフィルタリングが有効になると、クロスフィルタを作成できます。
- サポートされている視覚化を含むタイル内のデータポイントをクリックします。
棒グラフ、縦棒グラフ、折れ線グラフ、面グラフ、散布図、円グラフでは、グラフの凡例をクリックすることもできます。
- クロスフィルターを作成するタイルは、そのデータポイントを強調表示し、他のすべてのデータポイントを灰色表示します。その他のすべてのデータタイルは、そのデータポイントの値によってフィルタリングされます。クロスフィルターのフィールドと値は、参照用にダッシュボードの上部に表示されます。
- 既存のクロスフィルターに値を追加するには、キーボードのCommandキー（Mac）またはControlキー（Windows）を押しながら、追加のデータポイントまたは凡例をクリックします。
- タイルは追加価値に基づいてフィルタリングも行います。クロスフィルターの追加料金は、ダッシュボードの上部に表示されます。
- 新しいクロスフィルターを追加するには、サポートされている視覚化タイプを含むタイル上の別のデータポイントをクリックします。すべてのタイルもそのクロスフィルターでフィルタリングされ、ダッシュボードの上部に別のフィールドと値が表示されます。
Dashboard filter override behavior
Filters on a dashboard can be applied at different levels. When multiple filters affect the same field, the system determines precedence according to the following hierarchy (from highest to lowest precedence):
- Cross-filters (highest precedence): created when admins interact with data points on cross-filter-enabled dashboard widgets.
- Visualization-level filters: placed directly on a specific visualization widget.
- Dashboard-level filters: applied at the dashboard level across one or more widget.
- Query-level filters (lowest precedence): configured in the widget’s underlying query.
The override behavior among these filters is determined as follows:
- Same field override:
- When a visualization-level filter and a dashboard-level filter are applied to the same field, the visualization-level filter overrides the dashboard-level filter for that widget. Only the visualization-level filter value is applied to that widget.
- When a dashboard-level filter or a visualization-level filter, along with a filter in the widget’s underlying query, is applied to the same field, the dashboard-level or visualization-level filter overrides the query filter. Only the higher-level filter value is displayed and applied.
- Cross-filters override visualization-level, dashboard-level, and query-level filters on the same field.
- Custom expressions: If the underlying query uses a custom expression, higher-level filters don’t override fields in the custom expression filter, regardless of the columns that are being referenced. In this case, both the higher-level filter and the query filter are displayed and applied.
- Complex filters (
ORconditions): If the underlying query’s filter grouping contains at least oneORcondition, the filter is treated as a complex filter, and higher-level filters don’t override any field that’s referenced in that query filter. Both filters are displayed and applied.
In summary, a filter on the underlying query is treated as a custom filter that higher-level filters will never override if one of the following conditions is true:
- The innermost
AND/ORgrouping contains at least oneORcondition. - The filter contains a custom expression.
