Data Loss Prevention On Demand Overview

Netskope DLP On Demand enables local and collocated document scanning via a REST API. Currently, it is delivered as an appliance supporting flexible deployment across public cloud environments — including AWS, GCP, Azure — as well as on the on-premises VMware vSphere platform and Hyper-V.
DLP On Demand supports both Synchronous and Asynchronous API calls.
The APIs support two types of content scans: unstructured and structured.
- Unstructured – This category includes common business documents, emails, photos, and webpages. Examples include Microsoft Office files and PDFs. Text from LLM prompts or messages from collaboration tools such as Slack or Microsoft Teams can also be submitted for DLP inspection.
Supported formats for these documents can be found here: - Structured – This category refers to columnar or tabular data, such as exports from SQL databases, that are submitted in a specified format for classification purposes.
