The following is a list of Digital Experience Management (DEM) releases for the month of September 2025:
DEM Browser Extension: Performance Monitoring & Intelligence
We’re excited to share significant enhancements to digital experience monitoring for Netskope. This release introduces real user monitoring, at the transaction level, capabilities for both steered and bypassed browser based applications, along with new workflows to help admins troubleshoot faster and with greater context. The enhanced intelligence that these new features unlock, provide admins with smarter insights and access to user specific drilldowns with high-accuracy actionable data.
What’s new:
- Performance telemetry collection from end users’ browsers
- Apps dependencies automated discovery (CDN providers, 3rd-party infra, etc.)
- Page load and API calls performance telemetry
- Local connectivity and network path impact
- App server performance
- Data transfer and transactional error
- Steered and bypassed browser based application monitoring
Monitoring of browser based application performance for both steered and bypassed applications is natively supported. Simply configure your application URL patterns and apply the policy. - Netskope client is NOT required
Monitoring holistic user experience based on device, network, and application metrics is now possible for users where the Netskope client is not deployed or used as a steering mechanism.

DEM NPA: Performance Monitoring & Intelligence
We’re excited to share significant enhancements to private app experience monitoring in DEM. This release introduces real user monitoring capabilities for private apps, along with new workflows to help admins troubleshoot faster and with greater context. The enhanced intelligence that these new features unlock, provide admins with smarter insights and access to user specific drilldowns with high-accuracy actionable data.
What’s new:
- Network Path Visualization
A new visualization maps all paths between users and private applications, helping admins quickly identify routing gaps, publisher issues, and performance bottlenecks across each path segment between user and the private application. - Root Cause Analysis with NPA Metrics
NPA performance monitoring is now integrated into root cause analysis, enabling identification of degradations caused by both network and application issues. - “Other Impacted Users” Metric
A new metric highlights users experiencing similar degradations across the network, making it easier to detect systemic issues and pinpoint shared infrastructure problems.

Tunnel Status Alert Notifications
We’ve enhanced the Tunnel Status Alert feature to provide a consistent and detailed experience across all notification types.
Now, when you use a custom webhook for Tunnel Status Alerts, the notification payload will include the same detailed information that was previously available only in Slack and email notifications. This change ensures that incident notifications for tunnel status are standardized, allowing for richer, more consistent data to be delivered to your external systems.
Terminology Changes
What’s new:
- Terminology changes have been made to the DEM “Tenant Overview” dashboard, specifically the “POP & Service Status“ widget, to more accurately represent the activities occurring across the Netskope data centers and services.
- Terminology changes have been made to the DEM Alerts “Platform > Service Status“ alert type. The triggered alerts will showcase the new terminology, as well as the email and webhook notification templates. This new terminology will more accurately represent the activities occurring across the Netskope data centers and services.
